Custom pools & spas, built by hand for Inland Empire backyards.

DPC Pool & Spa Construction is a family-owned builder based in Menifee. We design and build pools, spas, and the whole yard around them — and you work with owner Miguel Santillan from the first walk-through to the first swim.

Why families call DPC

A pool is the one part of your home you build your summers around. We treat it that way — from the shape of the steps to the light on the water at night.

We’ve been building in Southern California since 2001, and our crew lives in the same communities we work in. New pool, remodel, or a full backyard, you get one team and one plan.

Our clients tend to say the same three things: the price was fair, the crew worked hard, and every question got an answer along the way.

Side-yard pool & outdoor kitchen

A narrow side yard turned into the main event: a long, narrow pool with a glass-tile waterline, a built-in BBQ island with grill, griddle, and fridge, and a pergola lounge at the far end.

One remodel, start to finish

Watch a backyard
get rebuilt by hand.

These are real progress photos from one of our flagstone remodels. Drag the slider — or tap a stage — to go from the first day of demo to the first time the water ran.

Remodel day one: the old pool shell exposed while new flagstone decking goes down
Flagstone cut and dry-fit across the deck before it is set
DPC crew hand-setting flagstone on the new pool steps
Curved flagstone stairs with step lights wired in
Raised wall and flagstone deck framing the pool before tile
Glass tile going onto the raised spillway wall
Water on: sheer descents spilling from the raised wall, with a rock waterfall
Finished remodel with deck jets arcing over a beach-entry shelf

Old decking comes out. The shell stays — it’s sound — and new flagstone starts going down around it.

How it works

Four steps from dirt to first swim.

No mystery about what happens next. Here’s how a DPC project runs, whether it’s a new pool or a remodel.

  1. Patio cover with stone columns over a pool and spa
    01

    Walk the yard

Miguel comes out, looks at the space, and listens: how you want to use it, what you’ve seen that you like, and the budget you have in mind. The estimate is free.

  2. POOL WIDTH SHELF SPA SHEER DESCENTS STEPS SKETCH · NOT TO SCALE
    02

    Design it

We turn that into a layout — pool shape, spa, features, decking, and everything around it — and adjust it with you until it’s right.

  3. DPC crew hand-setting flagstone on the new pool steps
    03

    Build it

Our crew builds it — shell, stone, tile, decking, and the details — and you’ll always know who’s in your yard and what happens next.

  4. Finished remodel with deck jets arcing over a beach-entry shelf
    04

    First swim

Water in, equipment running, and a walkthrough of how everything works before we call it done.

Questions

Good questions to ask a pool builder.

Something else on your mind? Ask Miguel directly at (951) 503-2012.

Is the estimate really free?

Yes. We come out, walk the yard with you, talk through what you want and roughly what you want to spend, and follow up with an estimate. There’s no charge and no obligation.

Are you licensed?

Yes. DPC is licensed by the California Contractors State License Board as Dream Pools Construction, license #791743, including the C-53 swimming pool classification. The license is bonded and carries workers’ compensation insurance, and you can look it up on the CSLB website.

What kinds of pools do you build?

Classic family pools, lap pools, freeform pools, and vanishing-edge pools, with spas, spillways, rock waterfalls, slides, deck jets, and custom lighting. If you have a photo of something you like, bring it to the estimate.

Should I remodel my pool or start over?

Most of the time a remodel is the better value: if the shell is sound, new tile, coping, decking, and features change the whole look for far less than a new pool. We’ll tell you honestly which way makes sense after we see it.

Can you design the whole backyard, not just the pool?

Yes. Besides pools and spas we build outdoor kitchens, patio covers and pergolas, fire features, hardscape, retaining walls, landscaping, and fencing — so the whole yard can be planned and built as one project.

How long does a new pool take?

It depends on the design, the permit timeline in your city, and the inspections along the way. We’ll lay out a realistic schedule with your estimate so you know what to expect before anything is dug.

What areas do you serve?

We’re based in Menifee and build across Riverside, San Bernardino, and Orange counties, North County San Diego from Poway up to Fallbrook, and the San Gabriel Valley. That includes Murrieta, Temecula, Lake Elsinore, Corona, Eastvale, Chino, Rancho Cucamonga, Yorba Linda, Irvine, Escondido, Vista, and Diamond Bar. Not on the list? Call; we’re happy to take a look.
